We loved Hostal Prada Borges! Angeles was a wonderfully gracious hostess. Room was clean, beds fine. We usually ask for a quiet room but we didn’t this time and I’m glad. We had a small balcony looking out to the street (3rd floor). Some traffic noise but it was quiet at night. Great location. Walkable to train/bus stations and to old part of the city. Nice, efficient laundromat near by (Angeles showed us where to go) and wonderful bakery with nice breakfast and afternoon treats. Cafe Roma Bakery, I think was it’s name. And.. this hostal has an elevator! Buzz from front door and they let you in. We didn’t walk the whole Camino but we had time to walk from here to one side of the city and then back to the river one morning, following yellow arrows and shells. Great home base for exploring Leon.
Stayed one night.. We arrived very late.. But they answered the door right away wich doesnt always happen... It took 3 minutes from the street to our room.. Everything was exactly as we would want it... Went out.. Came back at 4am same thing.. Ring door bell 2-3 minutes bck to the room.... Check out took all of 2 minutes the next morning... Highly recommended...
It was a comfortable place to rest during the pilgrimage. It was convenient because the laundry shop and supermarket were nearby.
Great location, the owners were kind enough to let me bring my touring bicycle.
