Lovely hotel right in the centre of Leon. Comfortable room. Fridge in the room..very handy to have cool drinks. 2 mins walk from the cathedral. Surrounded by bars and cafe's .Excellent position.Fantastic staff,really helpful and welcoming. Only disappointment was the spa which didn't look like the photos.It is quite run down,in need of refurbishment. Hot tub wasn't hot.Pool not big enough to swim in.
Not a good experience and overpriced for what it offers. They saw I’m a pilgrim and gave me the worst room, very noisy, bad mattress, long walk up and down the stairs, found spiders on the bed. Staff not willing to help with spa arrangements, worst breakfast on the Camino for 9 euros, bad service. They seem to be disgusted to serve a pilgrim. Not recommended if you want a rest day from pilgrimage.
The hotel is a very reasonably priced somewhat luxurious hotel an absolute prime location. There is a nice bar downstairs. Breakfast is offered in the basement and was quite adequate. Breakfast is offered at 7 AM but the lady was nice enough to let me in a little early. A major downside are the spa services they offer. They may be family friendly, but I found the sauna, the Turkish bath, and the Jacuzzi were all just above room temperature. Others sharing these facilities and were as confused as I was. The families seemed to enjoy the experience. For €15 I was greatly disappointed.
When I entered the hotel, I was immediately amazed! The decoration was beautiful and the employers kind and patient. The room was exactly my taste (there were some things which would need to be replaced, e.g. watermarks on the floor beneath the window, tapestry in the bathroom) but overall a nice place to stay! Unfortunately, I did not have time to check out the spa area... Breakfast buffet with fresh coffee also a win! I would stay here again!
My room was a wreck when I checked in and while I waited the unfriendly service staff behind the bar proceeded to ignore me. Then I had to tolerate rude service two mornings in a row. I will never stay here again and I highly recommend you not stay here either!!!
