I love this place and will return. The bed was cozy and comfortable, and though not en-suite, the bathroom across the hall had a terrific, huge shower with fantastic pressure and a great temperature. But the reason you really want this place is the balcony view. The attached pictures show what you can see, and though we were here on a chilly October night, I can imagine on a summer's evening it's spectacular. León teems with life and this is an awesome way to see it. Diego the receptionist is friendly with damn-near perfect English, so if your Spanish isn't quite up to snuff (like mine) never fear. There is a super-clean kitchen for your self-catering needs. I can't give this place enough stars, honestly; if I were in León for weeks on end, I would still stay here. Also, it's located near a lot of good stuff if walking isn't your thing.
-bit hard to find (entrance is in the rear of the building *not* facing the fountain). you then take the elevator/stairs up to 2nd floor the zentric hostel reception sign is on the left where you can ring the doorbell. -25€ for a bunk bed (only 4 ppl in my shared room) -very good heating. perfect temperature -though it took a minute to heat up, great hot water shower w shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided -very central city location close to the cathedral, mercadona supermarket, camino route, sim card shops and currency exchange etc -good sound insulation! no noise heard from the room -towel/sheet/pillowcase/thick blanket already on the beds. very clean, smells great -wifi was really good for me but not that good for another guest whose room was further from the living room -full kitchen w spices, pots, etc -cozy living room w/ great view and wifi
Everything was perfect! The room is very big, with a great view on a nice fountain, the bed was really confortable. And the host are really lovely and very available to help you if you need anything. There is a big living room where you can chill too! If you need a place to stay in Leon, that's the place you are looking for!
Wonderful host and place to stay. Extremely clean rooms and a great kitchen to cook in. The building is beautiful and the common room looking out over the fountain is magnificent. Highly recommend!
Clean, comfortable, everything you could ask for. 100% recommend for those walking the Camino as a treat! The lady on reception was amazing, so welcoming, even helped with our laundry so we could go and explore the city! I'd stay if I ever visited again.
