I didn't actually stay here, but Javi (I'm spelling the name wrong, sorry!!!) the man working there helped me swap out my backpack with one that was donated after I came in to get the certification for the camino. He was very friendly and funny and saved me literal hundreds of euro on a new backpack. I donated mine back to the hostel. Was the perfect experience of warm hearted community that all pilgrims should feel walking the camino.
It's been a lovely experience; all the pilgrims are in one big hall filled with over 100 bunk beds. It has a very cozy feel to it and the people who work there are very friendly.
Showers are unideal but toilet was literally disgusting. Staff was sort of rude and said it was “not possible” to leave bag for 2 hours before my bus.
Cozy place, nice staff, very well located. Needs improvements on the toilets and the entry room lockers are charging €1 every time that you open it and another €1 when you close it.
I'm not sure how this place has such high reviews. Half the showers don't have hot water so ask someone ahead of you. The bunk beds are so unstable, I thought I was going to fall climbing up and down. The place is wide open from first to second floor so everything echoes. The only good thing is our side was next to a handicap bathroom so we could have some privacy. I would not stay here again. I have been in other municipal albergues that were much better.
