1 / 5 This hotel offers nothing but a bed. No bathrobes, no slippers. There’s no air conditioning, and when I asked why it wasn’t working, they gave me a very basic fan — as if we’re not in 2025. The bathroom smells like sewage, and the bed sheets had a bad odor. No kettle, no iron, no coffee or tea in the room. Honestly, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a very long time. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.*
4 / 5 Rooms nice and clean. Similar to a premier inn. Location right on the beach. Didn’t have breakfast but located on the top floor with great views. Parking next door in a managed underground location for an additional cost but super close.
5 / 5 I was on the 7th floor in a modernized room facing the sea. It’s interesting because the furniture was updated but the bathroom was a little older, however very very clean. The view was pretty incredible and the room, as describe before I booked, didn’t have air conditioning. I didn’t mind but I could see on hotter days this would be a problem. The hotels location was fantastic as it is across the street from the beach and on the same street as a ton of restaurants and has a nearby grocery store. The only thing I didn’t like was that they only give you shower gel but they kind of make up for it with bottles of water and a fridge in your room.
2 / 5 I expected far better of a property that charges premium prices. On the positive side, the location by the beach is great, and so are the beach views (albeit the tinted glass makes it look like it’s dusk all day). The neighborhood feels old and run down. Also the staff is very kind.
Unfortunately there are several serious down sides. NO air conditioning. You’ll have to keep windows open at night and try to sleep with a lot of traffic noise, garbage trucks etc. And then it’s still too hot in the room.
Second, the only coffee in the hotel is from a paid vending machine in the lobby. They should give each room a little nespresso brewer. Lastly, the furniture and decor feels like it’s 30 years old and overall the hotel doesn’t feel like it has a soul.
4 / 5 Front line sea view room with all mod cons, shops, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets etc behind the hotel. Lovely promenade for a walk into the old town of Gijón.
