If you want to save your money for good food and great experiences then this place is perfect. Small yet clean and functional. You have your own small bathroom with shower. The bed is huge and comfortable and the flat is a small walking distance to the San Lorenzo beach. It is also just round the corner from Begonia park. Good transport options and great coffee shops and restaurants all around.
The hostel is very well located. The building and the rooms are not well maintained and to get to the rooms is kind of a labyrinth. The entrance to the main building smells like fried food and the entrance to the hostel like cheap cleaning products. Our room had a very ugly view to an inner patio.
I stayed from October 14 to 17, 2024, at Hostal La Libertad in Gijon, Asturias. The staff was very attentive, the room had a private bathroom with a shower, a safe, and a change of towels every day. For three euros you can have breakfast. It is a very well located place, good price and safe. I recommend it for your stay on your next visit to Gijon, Asturias.
