The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and remarkably well-maintained and clean. The rural atmosphere is spectacular, and its location is perfect, close to the village but isolated to avoid noise. As a constructive criticism, the breakfast could be improved by adding something savory (just a platter of cold cuts, for example, to give you the option of not having a sweet breakfast).
The house is very pretty and cozy. Tastefully decorated in a rustic style. Excellent location within the village, up on a hill. The Wi-Fi has no signal, and what bothered me was arriving and not knowing where to pick up the keys because the booking confirmation didn't mention they were collected at a different house. We had to drive around for this reason. Another thing that feels a bit unfair is that for two adults and two children, they made me book two rooms when one already had beds for four people. Unreasonable. Furthermore, even though the house was empty when we arrived, they assigned us the highest rooms, which retain the most heat, as there's no air conditioning. Luckily, the weather was bad, and we only felt the heat the first night. In short, the house is excellent in terms of quality, but the service and customer care should be improved.
A fantastic stay! We loved the house and the surroundings. I'd give it a 4.5, but it's not possible, haha. The only reason I'm deducting half a point is because it says check-in is from 2:00 AM, and we arrived after 2:30 AM and the rooms weren't ready yet, so we went to eat. The room is beautiful, and the common areas are great. Perfect location. You have to be a little careful because you can hear absolutely everything from other rooms.
A very pretty rural house or inn, well located for exploring Santillana de Mar, but it deserves several comments. It's a charming stone and wood house, but given the number of similar houses in the area, I can't give it more stars for the following reasons: It's disadvantaged by having a dairy farm next door, which produces unpleasant odors and flies. The house needs a little more cleaning and general care, such as the fact that the hot tubs don't work. The decor and the rooms are very nice, as is the use of the pool at the campsite next door.
SCABIES!!! When you go to a rural house where you pay €100 a night, the last thing you expect is to leave with scabies. Add to that the fact that, for anything, you have to go to another establishment, that the kitchen has been under renovation for years (according to other guests), and that, when you report the problem to prevent further infections, the response is: "Maybe you brought it from home," and the explicit refusal to take any sanitary measures, those days you promised yourself of peace and relaxation will surely leave a bad taste in your mouth. We've filed a complaint and we'll definitely never return. Run in the opposite direction!!! What a character!!
