Ok stay at this quirky old place. It does have a lot of character, but it's extremely noisy. Everything creaks. The place is immaculately clean. The bathroom very big. The room itself, bigger than most hitel rooms. The loft bedroom ensures that whoever sleeps on the left, hits their head every time they get up. Every floor board creaks and the bed itself creaks a lot. Every turn in bed by either of us ensured we woke up.
Wonderful overnight stay. Comfortable room, fabulous service. Good parking just up the road and a short pleasant walk into town. We had breakfast in the morning, and the service was so friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Such a shame about this place. When we arrived it took us ages to find the person who needed to check us in. Nothing was mentioned about breakfast and I suppose we should have asked but there is normally information in the rooms, by the time we went out there was no one to be seen again. We went into the town which is lovely and definitely worth a walk around. The next day we got up for breakfast and there was no one there, been on a bike touring holiday we can't wait around too long so we walked back into town for a bite of breakfast. When we got back to the hotel there was still no one else around, it was just before 9am at this point. Other than that the hotel is lovely with lovely views. If I had more time I would definitely stay again.
Excellent place to stay, with easy striking distance from the ferry terminal at Santander no more then 45 min away, doesn't do evening meals but can get evening meal at hotel nearby, absolutely excellent breakfast plenty to eat you wouldn't need lunch that's for sure.
