We were in room 103. The windows are just above the street level, so they can't be left open at night. There was no air conditioning, so the room was a bit warm during our stay in mid-July. Otherwise, the room were spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast was ok.
Accommodation right next to a park and a children's playground in a quieter part of Santillana. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff, but the breakfast consists of processed foods, therefore low quality...
The "family" room for three is like a tiny, hot prison cell; which was unfair as we had committed no crime. Moving around in it was a constant, painful, Tetris-like process. I have stayed in many awful hotel rooms as a professional travel writer (three books with Lonely Planet Journeys; hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles) including an un-air-conditioned shipping container in a place called Threeways in the middle of the Northern Territory desert, and this was easily one of the worst, by quite a margin. Out of curiosity I asked at another nearby hotel - the Hotel Santillana, which is three-star as opposed to Los Angeles (undeserved) two - and enquired about the price of a room for three on the Sunday night - literally half the price quoted to me by the Los Angeles for the same night! So in addition to being extremely uncomfortable, we were being extremely ripped-off. Do not stay there, under any circumstances.
Very kind people working there. The breakfast average but ok. The room was clean but small windows. And I paid 45€ which was worthy.
I stayed in this hotel one night. The location was perfect. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was fair compared to the price.
