One of the main historical attractions in Airexe is the Church of Santiago, a 12th-century Romanesque church dedicated to Saint James. The church features a beautiful tympanum depicting Saint James as a pilgrim, highlighting the village's connection to the Camino de Santiago. Additionally, the church houses a unique baptismal font, which is believed to have been used for the baptism of the first Christian king of Galicia, King Rechila, in the 5th century.
