Historically, Larrasoaña was known for its numerous pilgrim hospitals and hospices, which catered to the needs of weary travelers. One of the most notable of these was the Hospital de San Nicolás, which was founded in the 12th century by the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. Today, the Church of San Nicolás, built in the 13th century, stands as a testament to the village's historical significance. The church features a beautiful Romanesque portal, which is a highlight for many pilgrims passing through the village.
