1 / 5 This restaurant is a disaster. The staff are not only clueless and not trained properly, they are just plain rude. We got served by a short chubby girl and she couldn't care less. Asked for a couple smaller plates as starters and a couple as mains. She brought the starters and the immediately the mains, to a table that's tiny. She slammed the food on the table she took all out cutlery so we had to call her back. Unless the idea was for us to eat with our hands.
Then one main (their 'special' apparently) came cold. Cold pasta with really nasty 'bolognese' thrown on top which tasted of bell peppers. Bell peppers in a bolognese? Morbid. So we called her again - not a single word to apologise or anything at all. She took the plate, brought it back in a few minutes, still cold, not a single word or a smile.
We then just wanted to leave. Asked the guy, who seems to be the manager, for a bill. He looks at the full plate of untouched pasta and asks if we are done. If you see a plate of half eaten food, as a manager, that should be a red alarm. But he didn't care, clearly.
Some people shouldn't work in hospitality and some of these people work in this restaurant.
STAY AWAY!
4 / 5 Decent clean room, hairdryers available on request, and perfect before starting the Camino. If you're going to be returning when the restaurant is closed, ask someone how to gain entry as the entrance is through the restaurant.
5 / 5 Ideal for one night and if you are starting the Camino, you are only 10 minutes away from the starting point. Room was very small, but it was just me so perfect. The bathroom is very tiny so keep that in mind. It didn’t bother me. The room was clean.
5 / 5 Rooms were a good size and comfortable. Some street noise at night, but it was fine.
Access was easy and the staff welcomed us through the restaurant.
Great spot to explore Ferrol, especially good to begin your Celtic Camino. lots of shops, bars and restaurants in the vicinity
Didn't eat in the cafe downstairs but the food looked good.
4 / 5 Not far from train station and tourist information centre. A few km away from the starting point of Camino ingles. There is restaurant in ground floor, seems like a popular place in Ferrol.
