We had a wonderful stay here on our first Camino day. Very clean and comfortable and great views just slightly outside town though it is uphill. It was in the middle of a heatwave and our host gave us one of the rooms with a/c. We only stayed here and skipped dinner for town options but heard it was great from the other guests and it would have saved us a walk into town and back. It does give a little head start heading over the mountain.

Comfortable place, wonderful owner (Guillaume) who cares about the Camino and pilgrims, and offers basic breakfast for additional charge. Rooms were clean and pleasant. The view is spectacular. I would definitely come back.
A perfect start to the Camino, Guillaume was a great host and location is ideal for St Jean and your first steps on the route of napoleon to Roncesvalles. The accommodation is basic but suited our needs and the views from the property gave you an idea of what lay ahead the next day. Also Guillaume collected us from Biarritz airport.
If you expect the hospitalero to be friendly and hospitable you must buy it. Otherwise you get a lesson that everything is expensive and you must buy breakfast and dinner. Hospitalero seems to be irritated with the work he does.
Very warm welcome .good food and really nice room. Perfect for starting the camino
