Bom Caminha

I stayed at Bom Caminha during my Camino in June 2025. This hostel was special because of its strong community feel, from the communication before the stay, to the reception when you arrive, and to the pilgrim dinner (which was delicious!). Staying here was special and the hostel itself was clean, charming, and close to various water taxi options to continue the Camino.

You can't do it any better on your camino. The hosts were very friendly, there is a bug garden in the back, where you can wash your clothes, cool your feet in saltwater and have a great meal in the evening. The room was very tidy as well. 20€ per person were really worth it.

Alternative style hostel in the center of Caminha close to the taxi boats to cross the border. Has cool dormitory rooms also with 4 beds, last but not least a cool vibe and we had a very nice dinner with other pilgrims from aroundthe world, recommended!

Great albergue, I slept very good here cause the matraces and covers are very comfortable, highly recommend the dinner, they cook greatly and they played portugese music on the speaker for us all evening and left us alone with a huge pot of food.

It’s a beautiful old portuguese style house with a charming garden. The host is very kind and location of the place is very good. I give 4 starts because I’d have preferred a bit more privacy, having curtains around the bed would have been great.
