Albergue Pensiòn Cantábrico Fonsagrada

Good hostel located very close to the Camino de Santiago, presence of 2 supermarkets nearby. The Albergue has a big kitchen with 2 induction hobs, microwave hoven and dish washer.

This was the best place I stayed in while walking the Camino the Primitivo. It has a laundry, shoe dryers, and great showers. It also has fantastic private rooms. But the best thing about this place is Bernardo. I cannot say enough about this wonderful man. He has worked there for 20 years and has not lost his enthusiasm. Wonderful honest man. The breakfast for 8 euros includes an omelette that he cooks for you on the spot and pancakes and bacon and toast and orange juice. Highly recommended.

Our private room was recently renovated, spacious, clean, with excellent facilities, well furnished. The breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared. The cakes were exceptional.

This is a hostel used by walkers and other travellers. There are a mixture of dormitories and typical hotel rooms which are nicely fitted out. Great bathrooms. There are cooking and laundry facilities but no restaurant.

We arrived at this albergue after a tough, rainy (and even snowy!) stage of the Camino Primitivo. Even though we arrived early, the owner came quickly and we were checked in without a problem. We were happy to find a shoe-drying room and plenty of washers and dryers. The space was clean, with lots of room for hygiene and cooking. The area has great restaurants and several supermarkets nearby. It's a pity that breakfast isn’t available for albergue guests — only those staying in the pension can use that option. In the morning, we were quite surprised when the cleaning staff asked us to leave the kitchen, even though we had already cleared our room. A later check-out time would really make a difference here. Other than that, all good — we’d happily return ✨!
