It smells very good and was very tranquil. It’s nice to be in a top bunk and see the wooden roof. Isabela doesn’t know a lot of English but keeps the place having a good impression and helps pilgrims out as best as she can. The bar is nearby but they only had bocadillos/tortilla. A small kitchen with pots and bowls allowed me to cook some pasta. There’s a mini fridge if you’d like to store things for the next day. The kitchen/lounge area is not too big but has a table with 5 seats, but, there’s only 10 beds anyways. Only 1 shower, 1 toilet, and 2 sinks shared between all but it had sufficient space as well as soap and drying paper. All 10 beds were reserved before 1pm registration so do message/call in advance. I think if you want to stay in Borres and can afford it, and want a more calm stay, this is worth the extra cost, although the municipal albergue probably would have been livable. At 2:30pm, 8/19 beds taken in municipal.
A great albergue in the Primitive camino before the Hospitales route. It has great beds, lockers, a basic kitchen and great owners. The only tip for the shower is use it in low pressure. And extra point is that it's right behind the bar.

You have to reserve to stay in albergue otherwise they won't let you in. I came to albergue an hour before check in no one was at albergue, so I wasted an hour to hear that they won't let me in without reservation. That's a poor experience. At least you need to have a sign on the albergue with explanation that reservation is mandatory.
Nice and cozy albergue. Rabido is very helpful and smiling, nice guy to talk to.
