This is a modest yet very pleasant place to stay — just a 6-minute walk from the city square and close to all the restaurants, bars, and the charming old city. It’s also only about a 10-minute walk to rejoin the Camino path. The sweet couple at the reception were very helpful in spite of the language barrier (I don’t speak Spanish and they didn’t speak English). The room was comfortable, clean, and ideal for a simple, restful stay. Highly recommended!
We really didn’t like this place. It is vastly over priced - we paid €114 for a triple for one night vs priced in other towns more like €80. We thought it would be a treat. The room is very very tired- black out blinds ( the windows strangely go around the whole room including where the bed is) didn’t open fully and had holes in etc. At breakfast we were charged extra because we had some butter with our croissants. There are definitely better places to stay than here.
A no-nonsense cheap stay on the camino. A bit spartan but the towels and sheets are clean, and everyone was very nice, including the lady breakfast who was lovely and tried to get us coffees as quick as possible, bless her!
Quite large hotel located close to centre of town. Hotel has no restaurant but can serve breakfast. Average quality of reception, rooms (poor mattresses) and WiFi.
Perfect location to get into the centre of Betanzos. 4 minute walk down hill - but longer coming back up, especially after a few drinks! Worse part were the beds. We had 2 singles pushed together ... nothing more than glorified camp beds. The noise when you turned over was terrible. Couldn't have got up to any mischief there ... The whole hotel would have known! 😂
