When you start your Camino in St. Jean, Pied de Port this is absolutely the place to stay. Manu, the owner is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms are small and get you used to shared spaces. He provides a nice breakfast start you on your way. The location is right across and down from the tourist office. With a little effort, you may find as I did that you walk a number of stages with the people that you meet in this albergue.
Very friendly and accommodating. The situation is perfect and the atmosphere convivial. Everything you could need is provided. I stayed up late with manu drinking and talking and it was a great start to my Camino.
The best pilgrim beds in town. Impeccably clean, cute & cosy. Generous petit dejeuner breakfast. The hostess Maria Estela is joyful and warm, speaking several languages and making everyone welcome. Such a special place!
