Albergue El Templarin

The system of this albergue makes no sense. They are closed all afternoon, there is different info about the hours all over the hostel so you can’t tell which is correct. They tell you to call if you need to enter the albergue but they didn’t respond to me for over an hour. Disorganized and the stove, washing machine, and vending machine are all out of order.

The dorm was clean and we had lockers for our bags. Unfortunately, the reception is not staffed from 2-5pm which is when most pilgrims would arrive from walking el Camino, and it took a few phone calls for reception to arrive and check in the waiting guests. The bathrooms also have a very strange set up. There are two showers, but one can only be accessed by walking past the other, meaning if two people try to shower at once, it is not very private. The showers were also not hot, which was disappointing after a cold and rainy day of walking. The coin washing machine and vending machines were also out of order, although the washing machine could be operated by asking reception

I had some problems to find the place as it is located in a big building, so look for a door with the name on it. Very spacious, I had a room with more than 10 beds for myself.

It’s over a decent place. A bit hospital like but it dose the job.
