Loved Palacio Meras hotel in Tineo. The accomodation was supurb. We were traveling as pilgrims as a couple seeking private accomodation. Bit disappointed in the food both dinner and especially breakfast offering. Recommend eating out. Otherwise definitely worth staying.

I wasn't going to report this, but seeing that someone else has I felt compelled to do so. We stayed in room 204 and thought the room was lovely. However, by midnight we were woken to itching and full of bed bugs bites. We caught many ( a dozen?) adult bed bugs. We put them in a plastic cup and handed them into reception the following morning. Given it was midnight (at the time) we didn't feel we could do much about the infestation and having caught the bugs we saw, put a towel over the bed and tried to sleep the best we could. In the morning, we handed in our "catch" but the young member of staff just said "Oh sorry" and did not reassure use us that anything would be done. We wrote to the hotel. The first time, we received no reply. The second time we received an apology. They reassured us that the room would be attended to. However, we have since seen on reviews that others have been affected ( or inflicted!). So I am enclosing footage of the situation. I hope the hotel does something about it, because the rooms are lovely! Somehow this review would not allow a photo and video footage. Very disappointing!!

While it is beautifully designed and clean, the service fell short of expectations for a hotel with only about 40 rooms. The check-in process was frustratingly slow, with 5-6 people often waiting in line for a single staff member at the front desk. Additionally, the rooms weren’t fully stocked with essentials like shampoo and shower gel. When I called reception to request these items, it took multiple attempts to get through, and delivery took nearly two hours. The overall experience was disappointing due to these service issues, despite the lovely ambiance. I hope management addresses these operational challenges.

Fabulous. One of the best views of any hotel stay ever - the corner room with glass on two sides of the room overlooking the mountains. Fantastic to sit and look at the view or lie in bed and see it. Fabulous pillows! Perfect after the first days on the Camino and a wonderful treat for a day off. Lovely big bathroom and the chance for a good soak in a bath to ease tired muscles. They were very helpful providing cutlery and plates for our take away meals. I went down with a cold and felt pretty rough so it was good to sleep and rest up in a comfortable and cosy room. I’d definitely book again although I wouldn’t want any other room!! Number 210. The best.

what a bargain this hotel was. we stayed on night three of our walk and it was easily the best place to stay between Oviedo and Lugo. the front desk helped us in spanish with some other reservations we had as an added bonus. we ate at the restaurant for dinner and had one of the best meals we found on the primitivo…not cheap but a great bargain….If you are thinking where to splurge this is the place
