I visited the Sanctuary of the Apparitions in Pontevedra, and it was a deeply moving experience. The sanctuary commemorates the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Sister Lucia, one of the visionaries of Fátima. The chapel and surrounding areas are simple yet peaceful, offering a space for reflection and prayer. The atmosphere is serene, with a profound sense of spiritual significance. It’s a special place that invites visitors to connect with their faith and learn more about the events tied to the Fátima apparitions.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Sister Lucia. It's a great time to visit. The interior renovations are excellent. Masses are held at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
Peace and quiet in this simple but cozy place. Even the smell is special. The sister greeted us very kindly and explained the history of the sanctuary.
The convent and chapel are very well maintained, a peaceful place to pray to Our Lady of Fatima. There are two chapels: the one upstairs, where the Virgin Mary appeared with the Child Jesus, is a prayer room, and the one downstairs is a chapel. Both are very beautiful.
