AVENIDA CENTRAL VIANA-APARTMENT

Excellent place, location couldn't be more central, I arrived on Easter Sunday with no booking and Alex went out of his way to come down to the hostel. He was also extremely helpful with advice. Decent sized and comfy bed in the private room. The kitchen was a bit of a mess due to the other guests, I'm not sure if there's much the host can do about that, though...

Lovely Hostel, very kind service. I asked for vegan breakfast and they bought some vegan food extra for me. They really make you feel comfortable and take care. I can leave my luggage here after checkout to explore the city. The hostel can’t be more central. It’s directly in front of the lake Lima. Train station is at the end of the street. I fully recommend the Avenida Central Hostel :)

Excellent location and nice clean apartment, close to the train station and everything else. Many shops and eateries within walking distance. Huge thanks to Alex, the owner, for his welcoming and sympathy! I'd like to get back here one day to explore the area of Viana do Castelo better.

3-star hotel but not for disabled people. No lift and then originally refused a refund when we couldn't manage all the flights of stairs to the fourth floor in order to check in! Disgusted. After making an appeal to Booking, a refund was given. Review now edited in response to comment made by the owner.

I had a good stay. The place is an apartment, somewhat different to what I am used to, but was clean and bright and well located. Sometimes there is some noise due to the bar 4 levels below, but this was marginal for me
