Our host Fatima was fantastic!! She was so helpful in getting our large group checked in and was so helpful for getting one of our members help with transportation after injuring her foot. The facility is so clean and comfortable. Very peaceful place on the beach. It is also the home of an amazing restaurant. This is a must to stay here for vacation or your walk on the Camino. Thank you so much Fatima. You’re a real gem.

We loved our stay at Pensión O Regato. The location right by the water was beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hospitality was warm and welcoming. After a long day on the Camino, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Highly recommend!

Unbelievable place to stay along the Camino. The view of the bay is stunning at sunset and sunrise. The owners are super nice and attentive. The rooms are simple and clean. The food options are somewhat limited when the hotel’s restaurant is closed, but we picked up some bites and wine at the grocery store and ate on the terrace while watching the sun set. We wished we had stayed another day.

Someone mentioned a 10/10, that was what first drew me here. Then came the promise of the beach, the sunset, quiet dinners… and the warm hospitality of Fátima and Jacobo. I can now confirm: all of it is true. Traveling in the third week of April, I discovered something even more precious - solitude. Many times, I had the beach entirely to myself. During my two-night stay, there was even a morning when I had almost the whole pension to myself, and long stretches of the shoreline felt like a private retreat. First impressions The entrance is unique, approached from the beach near the end of the road. A gentle climb up a series of steps reveals thoughtfully arranged levels, each with cushioned seating facing the sea. It invites you to pause, to breathe, and to take in the horizon. At the top, I was warmly welcomed by Fátima; an arrival that felt immediately personal and sincere. The stay The rooms are bright, airy, and impeccably clean. What I appreciated most was the air conditioning/heater—essential for someone coming from the tropics, where 25°C is considered cool. It made the nights perfectly comfortable. My room had two windows overlooking the full stretch of the beach—a simple luxury that stayed with me. It’s the small, thoughtful details that make a difference: * Proper retractable clotheslines on both sides of the veranda * A simple complimentary breakfast of toast and small muffins each morning * Coffee capsules and snacks conveniently available via a vending machine There are five rooms on Level 2 sharing two bathrooms, both very clean and well-maintained, with shower gel, shampoo, and even a bidet—small touches that quietly elevate comfort. Surroundings Nearby are several beachfront restaurants. One family-run spot just a short walk away serves delicious, authentic food at very reasonable prices—simple, satisfying, and full of heart. I also dined at Restaurante Regato on my second day. The lunch was a delightful surprise; fusion dishes presented in small tasting portions, almost omakase in style. The chef brought together Chinese, Indian, Japanese, and Galician influences across a range of seafood—octopus, salmon, cod, oysters—ending with a creative rice pudding dessert that was both crunchy and satisfying. A memorable, well-crafted meal. Final thoughts This stay was restful, peaceful, and quietly wonderful. A place where time slows, where the sea becomes your companion, and where hospitality feels genuine. A very nice place directly by the beach. Astonishing views, very clean an cozy, individual rooms at a very reasonable price. Perfect to rest after a hard walking day.
