5 / 5 As a pilgrim at the end of the day, ...... you would like a place to shower, to recharge, to eat, to connect with fellow pilgrims, do your laundry and have a good nights sleep . Estrella was able to provide a wonderful oasis where these needs were met. Everyone was made to feel so very much at home...... felt guilty ( until sleep easily happened ) to have been given the meditation room to sleep in....... the thought of a room to yourself was an incredible bonus..... the timing was right in stopping here ... the Pilgrim meal was delicious, the soup absolutely hit the right spot in comfort ......... well worth taking the time to talk with your fellow pilgrims and their hosts for the night.
5 / 5 This is a cozy and wonderful Albergue; the owners pay attention to every detail, thus everything works like a charm. The food is delicious, and the fireplace is a lovely place to make friends while enjoying a glass of wine.
I love the showers, which are spacious and have beautiful decorations, with enough space to keep your belongings dry.
5 / 5 If there’s a place on the Camino where you feel like a pilgrim again, this is it. The albergue is more than just a place to crash—it’s a warm embrace after a long day of walking. Estrella, the owner, sets the tone for your stay. She’s not just a host, she’s a fellow pilgrim, exuding a warmth and generosity that you can’t fake. Her smile is contagious, and it’s clear she genuinely enjoys welcoming pilgrims to her home.
The albergue itself is a charming mix of rustic authenticity and thoughtful comfort. You’ll enter, and within minutes, you’re offered a drink and a simple snack—just what you need to settle in. The building feels like it’s been here for centuries, yet it has the little touches of home that make it modern enough to relax without any distractions. Beds are made up with soft cloth sheets, and they even provide an extra pillow for leg elevation—a thoughtful touch for tired travelers. The bathrooms are clean, functional, and give you a sense of peace.
The lounge area, with its cozy hearth, feels like a place where you could easily while away an evening with other pilgrims—great conversations, good vibes. The covered patio is perfect for those warmer days, and they thoughtfully turn on the heat in the rooms and common areas without you having to ask. They don’t have a full kitchen, but the homemade communal dinner they serve is like a warm hug after a long day. And breakfast? They’ll have you fed and fueled early, making sure you're ready to take on the next stage of your journey.
For the practical side of things, they have a washing machine and a hand-washing area with an outdoor clothesline that catches the sun—though there's no centrifuge, so don’t expect your clothes to dry instantly. The Wi-Fi is decent, though a bit weak in the rooms—honestly, it’s the Camino. You’re here to disconnect, right? There’s a restaurant nearby for lunch, and a small convenience store for whatever you may need.
One of the most unique things they have is the "hiker box." If you’ve got something you don’t need, you can leave it here for someone else to take. It’s a beautiful touch, and something you don’t see often on the Camino. It’s little things like this that make this albergue stand out. Estrella and Ugo really understand the essence of the Camino: generosity, connection, and rest.
Highly recommended!
5 / 5 Estrella the owner is a wonderful host! I lucked out and got the last remaining bed. It’s like a home from home, with multiple places to hang out in, the shower and toilet areas are done really well providing privacy and lovely hot showers. Definitely the best one I have stayed in on my way! I will definitely make a point of returning one day! It’s like a secret in someways you don’t want to share, but I feel everyone should stay if they have a chance so here’s my review. ❤️😁
