5 / 5 Just WOW. Can’t recommend this gem enough. My mum and I were doing some days of the Camino together and this is far and away the best albergue I’ve found. The owners and team are just incredible- all super friendly, and happy to help. Cold beer ready when you arrive should you need. Rooms are spotless, private bathrooms in each room (what a delight after many albergues with a long wait for a shower), and the views to the river Ega are so soothing for the soul. Great breakfast and coffee too, and a well equipped kitchen. Thursday morning markets in town made it easy to buy fresh produce and cook.
The owners are so passionate too- they shared amazing stories about the building, which is a former leather tannery (I’m an architect by trade, and was in heaven to see such a well restored and clever design), and have blended some cool archaeological features with a really practical design thats super beautiful. Another staff member is also a local artist that does lithography- and a lot of their works are displayed throughout. It’s all just so well thought out, unique, personal and detailed.
Can’t recommend enough, and would return in a heartbeat.
5 / 5 Great Alburgue.
Shower and toilets shared, but in room.
My bed had a river view.
Very nice, I would recommend.
5 / 5 One of the best stays of my Camino. Don’t hesitate, just book! Such an incredible, beautifully restored building, with a friendly and jovial owner. I loved the small 4 bed female dorm room which had an incredible view. Everything was so clean and comfortable ñ. This was also the best breakfast I’ve had the whole trip - even homemade marmalades. Just perfect. Muchas gracias!
5 / 5 beautifully rebuilt historic hostel directly on the river and the upper dam of Estella. Clean, calm, very welcoming, with a well quick kitchen and lots of nice little areas for writing and reflection. Highly recommended.
5 / 5 Amazing, over-the-top albergue! Super comfortable, modern, with friendly staff. Would definitely go again anytime, honestly recommend.
