Ocean Porto - Beach House

We stayed for 10 nights and had a fantastic experience overall. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, although not completely quiet due to the nearby metro. Breakfast was very good every morning, with fresh cake served daily - a lovely touch! The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. We really appreciated their warm hospitality and would happily stay here again.

The locations is great! Almost in the Matosinhos city center. Lot of eating options. Metro/Bus station not that far. Airport is 10mins by taxi. The care-taker, Fatma was lovely lady. Prepared breakfast for us at 730 in the morning since we had to catch-our flight while the normal time is 8. There's no lift so she even took the bag of my wife. Very kind. Couldn't speak good English but tries her best to make us comfortable. 10/10 to her! The host/owner was very flexible too. Helped us communicate with Fatma and planned the early breakfast. Had already prepared the Jacuzzi so i could enjoy that too. He recommended a nearby restaurant too. We paid Euro 111 including breakfast for a night which I felt was a great deal. They did not affect us much but these can be some inconveniences- A. not having a lift to get your luggage to 2nd floor (we had small carry-on baggage so didn't matter) B. The tram/metro line very next to the property makes it very noise. Again, we could sleep well but can be an inconvenience for others. The third minor inconvenience was the bathroom door that did not move smoothly and needed some efforts. it was a bit annoying. I suggest the owners to fix it so that is taken care of.

Great little hotel - simple but nicely put together. Very much a beach vibe re decor. Bright, airy and 5 minutes from beach. Breakfast also very good. Staff polite and helpful. Would definitely go back.

Such a darling, boho chic guest house with a wonderful breakfast. The rooms and common area were beautiful and the backyard with a dipping pool was lovely. A perfect place to spend our first night in the Camino.

A fabulous place to stay in Matosinhos with great connections to central Porto via bus, tram, taxi or just a long coastal walk if it is not too hot. The house is well kept and the rooms comfortable, as are the beds. If you struggle with background noise that would be the only possible criticism - the metro runs along the road in front but did not bother us as we live in a town anyway. The beach is 5 minutes and there is also a slightly warmer sea water lido about 30 minutes along the coast. Ivo (the owner/manager?) was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and speaks near perfect English. We went as a couple but other guests were there as families. With only 9 rooms it never felt crowded.
