Very nice owners, very good location! The only minus is that the rooms didn’t have proper AC, lucky for us only two out of 7 nights were pretty hot.

A very beautiful house, with all the charm, very clean, Staff Super friendly and helpfull. The owners are very Nice persons, they tell you the story of the house with só much love. Location is 5 stars. Near of the beach, restaurante, metro,etc. RECOMEND100%

One of the most awesome places ever. Early check in, cool patio, amazing location. We had a great stay and would love to go back. Super quiet at night and I am a light sleeper. Private bathroom. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Fridge space. Parking. The house is a trip. Beautiful patio to soak in some sunshine while sipping some port wine. Enjoy. Would go back and definitely recommend. ​There is no denying that this property is spectacular. A 200-year-old home that has been completely and meticulously restored, the aesthetics of the rehab will blow you away the moment you walk in. The host managed to preserve the original facade and interior character while decorating the space incredibly tastefully. ​The Highlights ​Aesthetic & Atmosphere: The restoration is top-tier. It feels like stepping into history, but with all the modern comforts you need. ​The Neighborhood: Fantastic location. You are surrounded by excellent restaurants and things to see. It is also a commuter's dream—the bus stop is right around the corner, and the train into Porto (and beyond) is just over a block away. ​Quiet & Peaceful: I was surprised by how quiet the home is despite being in such a vibrant neighborhood. ​Convenience: The beach is beautiful and just a short walk away. For those who like to cook, the kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of pots, pans, and utensils, and a grocery store is conveniently located right around the corner. ​Hospitality: The host was magnificent—very friendly, responsive, and punctual for check-in. ​Things to Note ​The Layout: As is common with historic homes, the bathroom is quite small. It is great to have a private bath, but it’s a tight fit. ​Temperature: The house can feel a bit cool and drafty (again, part of the 200-year-old charm!), but there are heaters provided in each room which solved the issue for me. ​Quirks: The front door is a bit sticky; it takes a little finesse to figure out the trick to it. ​Final Verdict: While no place is perfect, this beach house is an incredible find for the price. If you appreciate historic architecture and a prime location, this is a fantastic value for your stay in Matosinhos
