Small hotel with very friendly and helpful owners. Hotel has no restaurant but they serve great breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Also good WiFi. Located on top of the town and accessible on foot through very steep road (part of Camino Ingles). Luckily also easily reachable by taxi.
Stayed after my second day on the Camino, location is way up the hill leaving town so you have a great start on the next day. The bed was a dream come true to a jet lagged pilgrim. The hosts are incredible. Very friendly and kind and patient with all levels of language skills.
This small hotel can be a bed and breakfast. The place is cozy, rooms are nice, and you will have a very good night sleep. Every morning, you have an complete breakfast with home made pastries, toasts, and anything you may want to do your next camino ingles day. If you stay at this hotel, you will have at least 1 km of your next camino ingles to Betanzos. The couple who manages the hotel montebreamo are so lovely and they will make you feel like home.
Our one-night stay at Hotel Montebreamo was simply delightful. Maria and Ramon, the owners, are the epitome of hospitality—warm, gracious, and incredibly accommodating. The hotel itself exudes charm, with cozy rooms that make you feel right at home. Its prime location right on the Camino Ingles was perfect for our journey. Although the walk down into Pontedeume's centro felt completely safe, even at night. One of the highlights of our stay was the homemade hearty breakfast served in the morning—a delicious start to the day. Additionally, Maria went above and beyond when we accidentally left my ATM card behind. She promptly sent it to me by mail in Barcelona, demonstrating her kindness and care. During our visit, I also purchased a homemade walking stick for the Camino, adding to the memorable experience. It's evident that running the hotel is a labor of love for Maria and Ramon, and their passion shines through in every aspect of their hospitality. Feeling so welcomed and well-cared-for, I can't wait to return to Hotel Montebreamo. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a charming and unforgettable stay!
Right on the Camino Ingles, a safe haven for a solo traveler. Very comfortable, lovely stay with freshly prepared delicious breakfast that helped me endured the hilly rainy windy day in the camino. Thanks Maria for your warm reception, you are one of my camino blessings.
