Dave was an incredible host. Quick to answer and accommodate in the off season Camino which is a true blessing. Ziggy his dog is the unofficial mayor, and Dave her assistant. He provided excellent ideas and recommendations. His story should be listened to. Stop here on the way to Logrono, you will not regret it. Ask about his books.

A nice quiet room in the Pension San Pedro turned out to be a bonus when the third person booked for our room failed to show. The Pension has been recently renovated and is run by a very trusting and generous host. I recommend this place to the pilgrims passing through Viana. No meals available at present, but drinks and coffee are available on a help yourself basis. Close to all bars and amenities, although they run on Spanish customary times when it comes to food and opening hours. Clean, well run and very much connected to the history of the town.
Great experience for a single person! Wonderful water pressure and shower and comfortable bed, and quiet. The location offers a great self service social area, an amazing garden with views steps away from the hostel and plenty of places to eat that are not touristy Location is only ok for markets because they are simple local stores. If you have issues with stairs,—don’t book,—there is no lift!
Stayed September 2025 while walking the Camino. Lots of good things to say about my stay: great location, host is welcoming and worked hard to update and make this place comfortable. Room is updated, mattress comfy and their snack kitchen is all honor system. What a great way to be on a pilgrimage. And the best part? Ziggy! His welcoming dog
The room and facilities were first rate, and the proprietor provided a great stay. This is the best pension I have seen in my two Camino Frances walks.
