Gran Hotel España

I was there with my sister for a few days in March as we had a date with Dr Espinas, a local surgeon . What a wonderful hotel , I cannot recommend enough . Traditional , lovely decoration , super clean , Huge double room. I was very impressed and I hope to go back when I visit Oviedo in the near future . Amazing Staff , discreet and curteous. They also have a lovely and stylish cocktail bar which is linked .. And all the restaurants are at a stone throw from there. Thank you very much for your hospitality .

Location is perfect. Service is OK. But rooms are extremely outdated. Worst part was the bathroom, not clean. Towels are overused.

Great location... got double room for one person, very small room... and not clean. Nice balcony... towels and bathrobe got stains... and found a locker to an ear ring on the bathroom floor... and a long hair in the bathtub... 🫩 Very old coffee machine... and drinking water costs 2,75 euro for half a Liter 🫣

This hotel in the pictures and on the website actually doesn't do it justice - they totally should do an overhaul of their marketing. I arrived not expecting a ton (apart from it being in a good location). And actually.. it really was pretty nice!! It's really clean, fresh, up to date and the building is large. Had a peaceful sleep and got more from the price than I was anticipating - recommend.

Great base for Oviedo. Walk to everything. The hotel has some character and history. Nice room in the end (first room we were assigned was not so great - v noisy aircon). Helpful staff. Breakfast was an optional extra - coffee was fine but the other offerings varied a bit in quality and choice and depth, some days ok others a bit meh.
