La Hospedería Oviedo

Pretty good bathroom setup for a hostel (three showers for 10 people) and a nice little outdoor space for reading if you’re into that. There’s only privacy curtains for the lower beds, and the top bunks are harder to put linens on— great if you’re bottom bunk but kind of unfair for the top bunks. Tons of great food locations nearby and not too far from the bus station. I’d only stay here again if it was for another one night stay because the kitchen isn’t ideal for a stay of any other length.

Stayed here in March just before starting the Camino Primitivo. Because of the time of year, the hostel was nearly empty. As others have stated, the location is incredible - right next to the Cathedral, where I picked up my pilgrim's passport. Beds were solid, and each bed had a reading light and a power outlet. Kitchen and showers were somewhat small, but overall a nice experience. I would stay here again if I return.

I stayed in the lower part in the dorm. It's a very small place, I was alone but when it's full (8/9 people) maybe it can be a little crammed. The good: it's clean, nicely decorated, showers are good, it's really in the heart of the medieval city. The bad: You really hear everything going on in the street, don't forget your earplugs. You can't really cook in the kitchen, there's only a microwaves. Humidity in the dorm. I was there during winter and it was cold, but during summer the inconvenience becomes an advantage. I would recommend the place, depending on the price you get.

Great first experience in the camino, María treat you like family, super friedly and willing to help. The Hospederia y very cozy, clean, organized and with great value to services. This is agreat place to start your primitivo.

Can’t beat the location! This alburgue is steps away from the Cathedral. It sleeps 10 people - 8 downstairs with a private room upstairs for 2 people. The kitchen is centrally located - complete with spices if you want to cook.
