Amazing experience! Owners were so friendly and accommodating. We didn't realize that this is on the Camino Primitivo, so we were able to hike that route for 1 day (which was the best hiking day of our trip!) and rejoin the Frances the next day.

Would easily give a higher rating. The facility is breathtaking. Tilo and Magdalena are the most special hosts you could hope to have! Don't take my word for it, stay here and see!

If I could give 10 stars I would. What a fabulous accommodation and super, caring and helpful hosts. Magdalena is an angel. So kind and gives undivided attention to the guests. A small number of rooms so that attention to detail is possible and everyone feels like a family member. The food is so delicious and prepare with love. The decor is beautiful and the property is exquisite in design and location. Beds are comfortable, the rooms spacious, the bathroom luxurious and the whole place resonates peace and calm. The views are stunning. If you are looking for a piece of heaven on the Camino or a special place to stay - look no further.

This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay!! I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone! It’s an absolute must if you’re on the Camino Primitivo, and it’s also a great place to stay for anyone on the Camino Frances or traveling in the area. It is owned and operated by the most wonderful family with huge hearts. They provide first class service all the way. They make you feel at home immediately. It’s obvious they love life, love what they do, and love helping others. The food is absolutely fantastic! They have everything on site, and everything is delicious!. We ate all 3 meals here daily, and had snacks and coffee to order between. I think I gained weight on these days of the Camino! ;) If you’re traveling as a family, it’s a great spot. My wife, our 2 1/2 year old son, and I did the Camino Primitivo from Lugo. We took a two night stay here, and a rest day at this wonderful location. We wished we had stayed another day. It’s perfect in every way. We will definitely be returning on both future Caminos and family vacations. It’s just fabulous!

We traveled from Madrid and started the Camino in Sarria to Portomarin to Palas de Rei, next stop Melide. Deciding were to stay in Palas de Rei was challenging, I couldn’t find a place that suited our needs however when reading about the Casa Camino Turismo Real (CCTV) I was intrigued by staying in an 800 year old renovated home! I would highly recommend skipping Palas de Rei and take a taxi from town (an easy walk into town plus 15 Euros for the taxi) in order to experience an inviting host, beautiful lodging, an amazing dinner and breakfast surrounded by beautiful country side in an amazing upscale property. It is worth getting pampered at least one night on the Camino! Get up in the morning and hike the Camino Primitivo 9 miles to Melide where you will reconnect to the Camino Frances. Easy decision!
