Bedbugs, got bitten all over, awful experience! Staff was very blasé about it, just took a note and didn't offer a discount or even a sincere apology. Otherwise an OK hotel, though decor is pretty dated and price a bit high for what it is. Good location in town centre.

One night stay only with a group of 19 and overall pleased with this small hotel. Location is good with paid parking offered in the square very close but also was free parking about 100m away. Restaurant was able to cater for gluten and lactose intolerances at very short notice and staff very pleasant.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was very clean, well lit and laid out.
Good location. Spacious rooms. Many places to eat nearby. Do not miss the tavern around the corner to the right and down the hill about 20 meters. Order the Botillo del Bierzo meal for a great regional gastronomy experience.
I liked the location and the view but everything else was a disaster for me. There was no plug for the bathtub, which was part of why I chose this hotel (to soak aching camino muscles). Then I woke up in the night to see bedbugs on my pillow. I got a new bedroom but had to deal with everthing else alone, hauling everything to a laundry. I lost £100s of good hiking gear which was destroyed by the heat needed to ensure any bugs were dead. I missed a day of walking Camino and had to get a taxi. I know bedbugs can happen on the camino, but a hotel should be more helpful. (I have seen albergues helping pilgrims with this issue and they did not just say " there is a laundry round the corner". ) Despite all this, the hotel charged me full price. Ridiculous.
