La Candela (Restaurante - Bar - Habitaciones)

Hostel La Candela in Rabanal del Camino was a wonderful retreat on my Camino de Santiago journey. This simple yet cozy hostel offers spacious rooms in a calm and quiet environment, perfect for resting after a long day's walk. The on-site restaurant serves delicious meals, and there's a lovely outdoor area to enjoy the natural surroundings. The peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for pilgrims looking for a tranquil break. Highly recommend for those seeking comfort and a chance to recharge amidst nature.

Friendly host despite limited English. Room was very clean. Dinner was the best so far on my Camino journey. The pasta was really good and the beef was chunky and flavorful, which were probably the best on this trip. It is a few hundred meters away from the Rababal town, which was great, in my opinion, for those Camino walkers who just want to rest, reflect quietly and avoid unnecessary social efforts.

Room not as advertised, mine had a view of a concrete wall instead of the promised "vista" location is before the town and misses out on the lovely atmosphere... Bar service was awful. Check in was awful and I was left waiting until the host was good and ready, and then she made me wait again before giving me the keys. Awful place I would not stay again.
