Harbour Inn Design Townhouse Matosinhos

Beautiful place to stay! Very close to the restaurants, beach and cruise ship docks. We provided our arrival time and there was someone very helpful and pleasant there to meet us. Very comfortable bed and bathroom, plenty of outlets and a refrigerator in the room. (There is a room safe but it is not attached to anything so really not useful for security)

Fantastic guesthouse right in the heart of Matosinhos next to the beach and only a short walk to the tram stop to take you into Porto. We stayed in a family room and there was ample room for 2 adults and 2 children (age 7 & 4) sleeping in a separate space. Lovely and clean and a great breakfast at the hotel Eurostars next door included. Joanna greeted us and could not have been more helpful finding us somewhere to park as it was particularly chaotic on the roads outside being a busy sunny Sunday. Not helped by the fact we had a top box on our car so were too high for any nearby parking garages. Joanna went out of her way to call around and got a us a parking space reserved at the fish dock & escorted is there to translate, (also was a bargain at only a few euros a day). We had a great stay, thank you & will recommend to anyone we know visiting the Porto area!

Great hotel in a fab location to the beach and town. Very clean and comfortable rooms with air conditioning. We had the 1st floor mini suite which is spacious and lovely. The staff, especially Paula, were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast, which is served in the restaurant down stairs is simple but lovely. Omelettes, bread , ham, cereal, jam and coffee/orange juice. All in all a great stay for a higher than average price but very worth the money.

This place has been created with so much love to every detail. It is a beautiful boutique hotel, lovely designed, incredible service, very heart warming people running the place. Its located right by the beach, includes a very nice restaurant, the rooms have AC and are designed beautifully and set-up with everything one could ever need. 1 min to walk to get local transport. Highly recommend to stay here!

Perfect location in Matoshinos. Super close to the beach and loads of restaurants. Loved that. We had a very small room, though. It was advertised as a superior on Booking, which was apparently a mistake. It was the smallest room I've ever stayed in. The shower also leaked quite badly. The bed was comfy, though. But ya, I wouldn't have been able to stay there for more than 1 night. I also prefer the more hands-off service. Portuguese people are super friendly, but when you're tired and just want to settle in, the last thing you want is a 20-minute conversation with the person checking you in. That's why I prefer hotels... friendly but also at a distance. I haven't seen the other rooms here, they are probably lovely based on other reviews I've seen. Just make sure you don't get the small one!! We couldn't even stand up straight. And only 1 of us could be in the bathroom.
