Hontanas

Additionally, the ruins of the Convent of San Antón, located a few kilometers before Hontanas, are a testament to the village's historical significance. The convent, founded in the 12th century by the Order of Saint Anthony, offered shelter and care to pilgrims suffering from various diseases. Today, Hontanas continues to welcome pilgrims with its traditional stone houses, providing accommodation and services to those on their journey to Santiago de Compostela.
