The Albergue gets a high rating for its location. In addition to the low rating for the rest: The receptionist was not welcoming, the bathroom and toilet were dirty and the facilities could be improved. Buen Camino 🤘
I really liked it, the facilities, a nice hostel and very centrally located.
Well located, without going off the main road, they provide disposable sheets and a sleeping bag. The place is quiet and peaceful; you enter through the La Mezquita restaurant, where the reception is located. Access is closed from 10:30 PM, and you have to leave before 9:00 AM. The beds are really low; if you're on the bottom bunk, you can't sit down without your head hitting the one above. There are nine bunk beds per room, two rooms in total, and only one bathroom per gender, with one toilet and two showers. There's a common area with a refrigerator, a microwave, several tables with chairs, and a couple of armchairs. They also have laundry facilities. I was surprised that you need a €1 coin to use the lockers; in other hostels, the key is provided.
I switched from a pilgrim's bed to a single room because being alone with five men felt uncomfortable that day, and the risk of snoring was too high. Even though I've already slept in hostels for 500 km. The dormitory was okay, but the street noise was quite bothersome. There was a second dormitory, but I wasn't allowed in after explaining my situation. They didn't seem to understand and just told me to book a single room. I'm not very good at judging Spaniards. They seemed very taciturn and unfriendly here. If you feel like you're bothering someone as a guest, the owners should quit.
