Perfectly placed for Camino and the only bar/restaurant in the village that serves pilgrim food in Nov for €13 dinner and Breakfast 7-8am. The hostel owner was kind to give us a quiet room and helped us in the morning to secure a taxi due to an injury I'd incurred. Facilities were spotless, sabanas and blankets supplied plus rooms had aircon. Highly recommend.
Olveiroa is small village, but very nice & quiet, with many albergues. casa Loncho is very nice and comfortable. Great Bar and restaurant, Great Outdoor seating and relaxing area. I had the private room, very clean, nice bathroom. The reception and bar staff are very nice. Food choices are kind of limited, but I got very good beef steak (veal) for dinner. For breakfast, they are very nice to change the continental breakfast to scramble eggs for me.
One of the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen on the camino. Entered my room and found a bed bug, signaled it to the employee there and she didn’t seem surprised or worried at all. She simply switched my room. The second one was as dirty as the first one but at least there was no bed bugs. The smell was horrible and it simply did not look clean. I recommend you stay anywhere but there.
Insufficient bathrooms for the number of guests, and shaky, uncomfortable bunk beds. Reception staff were nice enough but provided very minimal information at check-in. I had a far better experience with the restaurant—staff are cheerful, prices reasonable, and the menu includes a number of vegetarian options.
This was a disappointing experience. While the staff were good, the private room we had was overpriced for what it was No powerpoints functioned. TV did not work. Nowhere to hang up clothes properly. The bar next door made up for it though. Great food and service and opened early (0700) for desayunos.
