We stayed here Thursday night, Sept 25, 2025. We had a scheduling problem and needed to quickly find a hotel/alburgue with a private room for the night.. we made a same-day reservation and it was pretty expensive. The staff was very friendly and the food was good… the breakfast buffet was huge, and included with our stay. The place is old/weathered, however, and in need of updates/repairs. But the beds were clean, the bath water was hot, and we slept really well. I have no complaints other than we paid too much.

The menu del dia for 15€ is alright, however we only got one bottle of wine for our party of 5 when the neighboring table of 1 got a whole bottle to himself, when we asked for another bottle of wine the waiter said we had to pay 8€ for it, which is insane when we quite literally could go and get a bottle of wine from the grocery store across the street for 1.5 €. Everything was clean and the bar looked nice.

The receptionist was nice and the rooms were big. Those are the only good things I have to say about this hotel. We stayed here for one night as part of the Camino. We arrived at around 3pm and were told that because of a party in the restaurant, dinner wouldn't be available until 8pm. So we had a beer in the cafe (with a server who was rushing us because it was the end of her shift) before heading out into town to eat. But for some reason this ENTIRE TOWN closes at 4:30pm. Not a single restaurant or grocery store was open until 8pm. We ended up having to get food at the gas station across the street. So we brought the food back and asked the front desk if we could have some plates and cutlery. They said no. The room was stifling hot so we decided to open the window. But then a bunch of flies came in as well as all the noise from the party (loud music and talking). The party did end at 7 but the hotel itself was extremely loud. You can hear everything including when someone was using the bathroom in the next room. The doors slamming shut sounded like a bomb going off. Breakfast the next day. There was a big basket of hard, stale bread. There were a couple of empty plates for sliced bread so we asked for more. They had run out of bread even though we were there 30 minutes after breakfast started. After a long day of walking, do yourself a favour and book accommodation elsewhere.

the camino agency booked this hotel for me as I am a first time caminera. It is standard big hotel, spacious room with balcony. Seems the floor is quite clean, one chair is very dirty, another is ok. The bathroom is quite awful, there’s unflushed toilet paper from the previous guest, used shampoo and soap from the previous guest, all uncleaned. The wifi is not working. There’s no socket by the bed. The buffet breakfast is awful (at least for me). No eggs, nothing hot, only processed cold cuts and cheese, lots of bread and cakes which I don’t eat. The receptionists are very nice though.

The rooms are fine for a commercial hotel. Interesting experience at check in though. We arrived at 1.10pm on. Sunday and was told we would have to wait until 2 to check in- even though it was quiet we accepted that. However a Spanish friend arrived 5 minutes later and was allowed to check in. I wonder why?. This experience was extended to the bar in the hotel where we had to wait until 2. We went inside to order lunch and had to wait for it to be ready and take it to our tables as the lady informed us there was no table service. However 2 minutes later she was taking and delivering orders to the tables for the locals. I wonder why? On a positive note the man who was working in the bar in the evening was very nice, attentive and funny.
